The award-winning documentary film follows the sequence of
events from treatment of the disabled in the United States,
England and Germany through the Holocaust. The follow-up
discussion explores the linkages between forced sterilization
and eugenics policies for the “mentally defective” in the
United States and how they influenced the German medical
establishment in developing their own policies that eventually
led up to the Holocaust.
