The Naale project:
Children Repatriate
Before Parents

The
Naale project (which is abbreviation of "Noar Ole Lifney Hahorim" in Hebrew it means "Children Repatriate Before Parents") deals with teenagers in the age between 16-18 years old. Under this project the teenagers that had successfully passed the exams leave their country for Israel.

They study until the 12 grades, and then they can decide whether stay in Israel or return to their native country. Most of the students, which came to OR-HANER, stayed in Israel, some of them stayed in the kibbutz and most of them made their parents emigrate from Argentina to Israel.

by Ido Baider
Community Manager, Kibbutz Or-Haner

The Kibbutz Or-Haner community is warm and has marked its social and cultural life of their members and children at the center of life.  The community is mostly dedicated to one of the most important projects of its life – the continuation of the Kibbutz  - The next generation’s future.

Education
The regional authorities supports the informal education, however, the Un formally education is taking place in the kibbutz in groups of ages. Our “next” generation has sports and cultural activities in their leisure hours.

Cultural committee is responsible to for all Israeli festivals and memorial days. The kibbutz members and inhabitants enjoy a club which is used as a meeting place on Saturdays, A theater for shows and movies, A small pub, An active library and archives. It is very important for us is to follow up the traditional activities during the year, which is very important, not only to the young generation but also to the whole community, including our most dearest and precious ones – our veterans and elderly people.

Health committee is responsible for providing all health services to the members and the Kibbutz inhabitants: Clinic, Dentist, Nursing for the elderly, Cosmetics, etc.

Other services, which are given here, are a mail (a Post office), sanitation, gardening, a small Grocery Shop, clothing store, communication services, carpentry services, ironing, laundry, hairdresser and a swimming pool.

Immigration
Kibbutz Or-Haner is well known as warmly welcomes immigrations, mostly from South American countries as most of our Inhabitants are from this part of the Globe. As we encourage Aliya (this is the Hebrew word for immigration to the Land of Israel) we allotted some habitations to be used by families, soldiers, students.

During the whole history of Or-Haner, groups of young people, families, singles, students – has arrived to build their first home in the kibbutz. Some of them stayed, some of them decided to try another way of life in Israel but Or Haner became their first place they arrived to in their first period in Israel.

Some people, from other countries, not only Jewish people, have arrived as volunteers and established their home here. A group of 22 Argentinean youngsters aged 16-18 arrived to Or-Haner 2 years ago.
