OUR MISSION:
Preserving, protecting, enriching and enhancing Jewish communal life and the well-being of Jews locally, in Israel and throughout the rest of the world, through the principles of Torah (Jewish learning), Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Tzedakah (charity and justice), and Chesed (caring and compassion).
WHO ARE WE:
The Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities is a non-profit, 501 c (3) corporation that was founded in 1980 in the state of Illinois.
In concert with numerous local organizations, the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities addresses a broad range of needs to include cultural, religious, educational, family welfare, care of the aged, and interfaith relations. The Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities combats hate and anti-Semitism by supporting religious liberty and civil rights for everyone.
The Federation’s Board of Directors is made up of local volunteer community leaders, elected annually, who are involved in every aspect of the organization’s governance, operations and fund raising.
The Federation sponsors a number of programs for children and young adults, which help to insure their educational and spiritual development and promote the belief in tolerance, mutual respect, dignity, social justice, democratic values, and human rights.
Although we are one of the smallest of the 155 Jewish Federations in North America, we are totally committed to maintaining the vitality of our Quad City Jewish community by taking care our seniors and those Jews in need, providing the resources necessary for our kids to grow up Jewish in the Quad Cities, sponsoring programs highlighting Jewish/Israeli culture, and ensuring the continuity of Jewish communities locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world.
